The ILM Level 3
Certificate in First Line
Management programme comprehensively covers the full range of
responsibilities of the team/group leader or member and it can be
tailored to meet specific needs.
The full
Certificate consists of:
- Induction lasting 3 hours
- Minimum 7 hours tutorial guidance
for assessments for the full award,
or pro rata for single modules
- Ten 15-hour modules comprising
a total of 5 segments per module
- Personal development and generic
management skills are integral parts
of the programme.
The ILM
Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management comprehensively
covers the full range of responsibilities of the first line manager and
can be tailored to fit your specific needs. The full Certificate
consists of an induction, ten 15-hour modules plus tutorial support.
Available from TCLuk Training as either an Integrated Certificate (with
the modules delivered and certificated together) or delivered, assessed
and certificated separately, as the modular ILM Level 3 Certificate in
First Line Management. The modular route reinforces the ILM commitment
to short sharp flexible learning to ensure an exact fit with individual
candidate needs and workplace requirements.
Each module
comprises five 3-hour segments, of which three are and two
are chosen from between three and five optional segments. This enhances
the flexibility for you to match the programme content to your
identified training needs.
The whole
programme will take a minimum of 160 hours, plus time for
assessment, to provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to
perform effectively in the high pressure world of the 21st century.
Timescale
The ILM Level 3
Certificate in First Line
Management
will typically take from 9 to 15 months, though this can
be
extended to a maximum of three years where necessary.
Timescales are
flexible according to your
personal and professional needs.
Where do the
qualifications lead?
The main
purpose of the course is to improve
your performance which for some participants is an end in itself, but
it can also be a stepping stone to future personal development and
qualifications. including ILM's Level 4 Introductory Diploma in
Management.
Cost
The cost for
the full level 3 is £900 per student for a minimum
group of six, offered in-house anywhere in the East Midlands. The cost
for fewer students, off-site training or modular courses is negotiable.

Entry
Requirements
|
There
are no formal entry requirements, but
participants should be practicing or potential
first line managers with 2 years full-time (or 3 years part-time) work
experience, and a background which will enable them to benefit from the
programme. |
ILM Membership
|
Those who achieve these awards are eligible to
apply for the minimum grade of Affiliate membership (AinstLM). The cost
of the first year's membership is included in the course fee.
